You can apply it at various places and you just need to bring your passport with you and fill in a form. https://youthtravel.tw/sub_en/card/location.php

There's also a Cartoon King Outlet here, whereby they sell paper-made stuffs.

On the way back, we dropped by OLD ENGLAND for photo. It's a majestic place for the rich and we can only take photos from the outside so nothing much.

Then we dropped by this place for a late lunch recommended by one of the therapist.
The highlight of the meal is the chicken whereby it is being cooked the traditional way.

*The view.

*We ordered a set of meal for 6. NTD 200 per person.
The stove above is used to cook the chicken.

In the evening, we dropped by Puli, a small town in Nantou. This is the famous wine brewery but unfortunately it's closed when we reached.

Then we also went to the Paper Dome. Entrance fee is NTD 80 but it's actually a voucher whereby you can use it to claim drinks or use it when buying souvenirs.

For dinner, we decided to drop by Feng Jia Night Market, situated near FengJia University.
It is a very famous and big night market and you can get there by bus. However, i forgot which bus number to take so the easy way is to ask the locals or the bus drivers before getting on.
Since we weren't hungry, we decided to opt for local snacks.

*Smelly toufu.
NTD 100.

*Da Chang Bao Xiao Chang ( Small sausage in big sausage)

We spent the night shopping around the area until 1am!! The ladies were satisfied with their purchases.
Then we took the taxi back to our guesthouse, costs us around NTD 200.

Thats all for this post and thank you if you read it through. XD

Holla Taichung! Part 1

First of, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Cheers to another brand new year for more travelling!!

So we took a bus up to Taichung after our clinical posting. The bus ticket price was NTD 150 by Ubus. It seems that there are times where there is a discount when buying the bus ticket. Unfortunately I didn't ask when. The journey took 3 hours.

Prior to arriving, we called our guest house owner to ask for directions since we are not familiar with the place. We settle down in a cute and homely guest house called dandelion located at Yi Shu Street. It only costs us NTD400 per night. The owner is a friendly man living with his girlfriend. But take note to people who fear cats, this place have cats roaming about though they are quite cute and harmless. Our stay here was definitely a pleasant one.

*The living room with memories from all over the word.

*The kitchen

*Our room with aircond!
p/s: we were given a whole room to ourselves. ngehehe... :)
AND AIRCOND IS IMPORTANT DURING THE SUMMER!

* Sink

Below attached are photos of DONG HAI YI SHU STREET.
It's a quaint little area with unexpected scenery.
p/s: photos were taken early morning before business hours.

One important side note travelling Taichung is that with the Youyou card (Easy Travel Card) or several other cash cards, u may not need to pay for the bus fee if u travel within 8 kilometers. Not sure bout the BRT though.

That's all for part 1.

Have an awesome new year!

Cheers,
Miss 81cm
